Urasue is the youkai that brought Kikyou back to life. Urasue (like most youkai) wanted the Shikon no Tama and she planned to use Kikyou to get it. She knew that Kikyou when alive defeated numerous youkai that tried to steal the Shikon no Tama and thought by bringing her back Kikyou would help her retreive the Shikon no Tama. It didn't work out as planned. Kikyou was not happy to be brought back and killed Urasue right away. Kikyou isn't the only person brought back to life by Urasue. Urasue also brought a young woman named Enju and a man named Kawaramaru back from the dead.
